Born in Tokyo, 1984,

 

Yas has been a professional fashion photographer for the last decade. He became interested in photography at eighteen when he began taking photos of his friends on skateboards and snowboards with his first single-lens reflex camera. This gave him the chance to go to the Mount Hood in Oregon to do a photo shoot for the Allian Snowboards team. When one of his photos was selected for the official advertisement of the company, he decided to take up photography as his profession.

 

He started to work as an assistant photographer in 2003 and as chief assistant in 2006 at ABC Photo studio in Tokyo, and then later as a freelance assistant at Light Up Inc.

 

In 2008, he decided to step up as an independent photographer. In 2010, to broaden his vision and develop his capacity, he moved to France.
